Uh oh, another week where not a lot of reading got done… Last weekend was Comic Con, which was super fun, but also meant that I didn’t get much reading time in. It was my first con, and I had a great time. I went as Buffy on Saturday and as an Attack on Titan soldier on Sunday, but only ended up wearing part of that costume because there’s this complicated belt thing that I didn’t feel like dealing with that morning.
We got a lot of cool art, saw a lot of cool art, and I avoided spending all of my money on books.
We also got to watch the premiere of the new season of Doctor Who in Madison Square Garden, followed by a Q&A with Jodie Whittaker, Chris Chibnall (the showrunner), and Matt Strevens (executive producer). It was such an awesome experience to be in a room full of nerds watching the first episode with the new doctor. Whenever she did something cool, the audience would clap and cheer like crazy. I haven’t watched Doctor Who in the past 4-5 years because I didn’t like Clara as a companion, but it was still so exciting, and now I’m working on catching up. Also, I really, really love Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor.
Anywho, the only book I read this week was The Girl with the Red Balloon by Katherine Locke, which you can read my review for here.
Books I’m currently reading:
- How to Stop Time by Matt Haig
- Dead Beat (The Dresden Files, #7) by Jim Butcher
In case you missed them, here are my blog posts from this week:
Have a great weekend, everyone!
